We are going to make gettext produce unicode always. If that is to be
utf-8 or ucs-4 is not yet decided. (There are som conversion issues
with ucs-4 that is a lot easier with utf-8)

This is what I am going to use.
And I have already commented on the use of ucs-4 with that.
