I have modified http://www.lyx.org/SiteDocumentation to describe the
method and the variables used to manage this link exchange.
I have also modified  http://www.lyx.org/DownloadDraft page to meet the
documentation.

You are right, it is much better to have the variables at the beginning
of the page.

Could you please check it?
