Hi John, Thanks for the advise again. I had previously in mind to transfer from LyX to Word by exporting to LaTeX and then using LaTeX2RTF to convert the LaTeX to RTF for Word. I tested it briefly and it seems to work OK but I guess the HTML option cuts down the intermediate step. Good to have another option either way in case something goes wrong.
I still need to devote some time to BibTeX. I've only really got as far as getting JabRef installed and doing some quick tests. I have the lyxpipe working but the output from LyX just gives "?, ?, ?.." so need to play with it a bit more. I use Mendeley to store my papers which can export to BibTeX so hopefully can manage a work flow around. If I'm still stuck I'll post back in the relevant section.
