I'm afraid not. I checked it again ant it really is \^{ }
Should it be \^{} ? Perhaps that's because of the dead key.

Anyway, could anyone (perhaps someone with dead key keyboard) try it? Just
make a new file, change into TeX style (Layout->Tex style) and type ^
In my keyboard, as I said before, I must type ^-space. Then export as tex
(File->Export->Latex) and edit the .tex file with vi or emacs.

I just haven't tried anything like that. I used psfrag before and it
worked just fine... It's probably the first time I have to type a
superscript! Subscript works fine because "_" is just "_" in the tex
file.

Ok, perhaps there many other ways and probably most of them better than
psfrag... But (sorry if I'm being a bit insistent in this point) I feel a
bit frustrated not to be able to make a simple ^ in Tex style! Shouldn't
Tex style allow any latex command, anything we could put in the .tex file?
I do have a doubt about this, however: I don't know if we could need
\^{ } in tex style...

By the way: I really like LyX! I'm writing my thesis with it and it was
just the tool I was needing to avoid using any wordprocessor or deal with
all the latex commands!
