Hi all,
I have been using lyx for some time now and i am really satisfied with
such editor, especially for the easy way to handle math expressions
within a text and to embody an handle pictures in *.eps format (that
means very small files; maybe the *.fig format would be even better) .
I have a few notes about operations i was not able to perform; those
could be suggestions to improve lyx.

Horizontal scrolling would be very useful sometimes
When preparing tables, zooming your document by a factor 2 or 3 to see
details inside each cell (this is common when your age is over 60)
drives the document borders over the window. Currently, to scroll the
page in its whole width a window larger than the screen, that the user
must glide across, is often needed.

Dot alignment of numbers in tables

A more powerful way to customize the lyx appearence.
Some people (whose age is over 60) find the cursor uneasy to follow.
Is there a way to change its size and color?
How to chose a bigger font in menus?

Possibility to format expressions in 'display' math mode
I have not been able to selectively change the font family and size to
specified chararcters or symbols, in the math mode frame.

Possibility of cut&paste selected cells from a table to another one

Lastly, do you plan to release a gnome-gtk based lyx version?

thank you

Paolo Pumilia
