Figure rendering

Hi,

   I just upgraded from 0.12 to 1.0.0pre2 (Oct 14).  When I open a file
 that I created with 0.12 that has lots of figures (of which are
 encapsulated postscipt files), the figures do not display.  The
 message [rendering...] is displayed, but the rendering is never
 finished.  Have I forgotten something or do I need to re-enter the
 figures?  The figures are all in figure-floats.
