I would appreciate help for a few questions (I'm new in Lyx):
-How and where can I change equation (figure) numbering? I would like
equations (figures) to be numbered 1,2,3,4...and not 1.1,1.2,1.3 where the
first number (1.x) is a chapter number.
-I would like to align set of equations at equal sign. If I use matrix form
all fractions become smaller (this is not exeptable for me) so I use
multi-line equations (C-Enter and C-Tab). The problem is too much space
between left sight, equal sign and right sight of equations, for example:
I get y = x + 2
I would like y = x + 2
Is it possibile to change that space in multi-line equations?
-I'm writing tech docs with lyx using book style (2 sides). My plan is to
have a header with chapter's title and page number all underlined so I use
fancy headers package; My chapter's title text is longer than 2 lines .
Because of that the header text is larger than the page width. Can I split
the header text in two lines? If not, could you suggest me another
solution?
-The last quation is not directly connected with Lyx but anyway: Does
anybody know which program should I use to convert JPG (or TIF, GIF)
pictures to EPS so that they would be compatible with Lyx?
