Sorry for having sent this message already with a wrong subject.
----------
I have two questions both related to LyX pipes:

(1) LyX pipe syntax regards ":" as a separator char. Is it
possible to "protect" it, i.e. to send it through a pipe without
having ":" considered as a separator, but as a real char?

(2) Is it possible to enter a find-replace command from the
LyX command line with an argument? E.g.: find-replace this, that.
If I type find-replace on the LyX command lien a find-replace
window appears, but I'd like to send the commands directly from
the command line.

many thanks!
g.
