I can verify that in 1.1.5fix2, command line export to postscript doesn't work,
but export to latex does work.
However, in 1.1.6pre1 it is possible to export to postscript (and PDF).
Morover, LyX doesn't open a window in the process!.
(Warning: using a pre-release is at your own risk).
