I have compiled recently Lyx on Slackware 7.1 with gcc 2.95. No problems
at all. Which version of gcc did you use (use gcc -v for that)? If you
use on old gcc version, it maybe that you have to update to a more
recent version. Check contrib on the Slackware disk or download it
directly from the Slackware site, if you need to update.
