there is one thing that I am questioning myself from time to time,
perhaps you know:
Is there a special reason, why there is no direct support for
\frenchspacing in LyX? I think a yes/no-Button in the
"Layout -> Document -> Language" -Dialog would be nice.
Explanation:
Default in TeX is to make a large space after an end-of-sentence-point.
In many languages (e.g. french, german) it is not usual to do so, so we
have to put "\frenchspacing" in the LaTeX-preamble of every document.
