Drawings and LyX

Hello,

I am wondering, what people think is the best way to handle drawings in 
LaTeX/Lyx currently. Some years ago, I did this using xfig and exported there 
as pslatex and imported then these files into latex. But handling two files 
was never comfortable and I rememeber that I also had to write a script, which 
patched paths....
