You can customize the font. E.g.
\def\UrlFont{\rmfamily\itshape}
after the "usepackage" line.
Note, however, that if you use LyX's URL inset (Insert > URL),
\usepackage[hyphens]{url} will cause a LaTeX error (options clash). You
should instead enter "hyphens" to Document > Settings > Class Options in
that case.
