Hi Mark, LyX on Windows saves the preferences in a version specific directory, IMO. The "About LyX“ dialog should tell you the location. Make a note where it is before doing the upgrade. You may try to restore your settings from there after the upgrade. Compare the files in the two different directories and adjust them accordingly. I hope it works as I’m not on Windows. I’ve CCed Uwe Stöhr - perhaps he can tell you more or a simpler solution.
