I use JabRef for my bibliography database; it's in ASCII text file format. Some abstracts report concentrations in micrograms and have been entered as 'ug.'
How can I enter the mu symbol so it displays properly in LyX documents?

Looking in /usr/share/X11/en_US.UTF-8/Compose I see multikey solutions;
i.e.,
<Multi_key> <m> <u>            : "µ"    mu # MICRO SIGN
<Multi_key> <slash> <u>            : "µ"    mu # MICRO SIGN
<Multi_key> <u> <slash>            : "µ"    mu # MICRO SIGN
but while these work in text files, they're not the same as \mu in LaTeX.

Help's appreciated.

Rich
You can put "$\mu$g" in a BibTeX entry and it should display properly in the document.
