I am using a PNAS bst file for my citations in a paper - this is ALMOST fine except that all the text in the reference is bold, except for journal names which are properly normal italic. I have also tried creating my own pnas.bst file using makebst but the results, regardless of what I do, is the same. Authors, pages, all bold. How does one make the citation text normal weight and ONLY have the volume number bold?
I downloaded a pnas.bst file from a latex for molecular biologist website but it does the same thing. This is not correct formatting. Only the volume number for a journal in the citation/reference is to be bold. PNAS style citations list the references in the order cited. I have multiple citations here and there so that I get (1,2,3,4)....(4,5,6,8,9,10) and so forth, when what I would like/what I need is (1-4)...(4-6,8-10), etc. How does one alter the display of the citations so they cover a range rather than each and every citation in a range? praedor
