Don't insert the table as caption! Start a new paragraph for the table: - goto the beginning of the caption and press Enter for a paragraph preceding the caption (captionbelow) or - goto the end of the caption and press Enter for a paragraph followint the caption (captionabove) and insert the table in the new paragraph. Do Layout>Paragraph and click the Centered radiobutton to center the table. BTW: it does not work as for figures, becouse the figure dialog default to insert-eps figure which does start a new paragraph for you (while the table insert is similar to the insert-iniline-figure feature) Guenter -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
