I also use my favourite editor (jed) for (math-) searches and replaces quite
often. (using File>Restore to get the changes back to LyX) Therefore I thought
I could start it from within LyX if I declared it
as a means to view the lyx source in
Bearbeiten>Einstellungen>Formatkonvertierung>Format>LyX>Anzeigen mit>xjed

(Edit>Settings>Format conversation>Format>LyX>View>xjed)

but this did not add xjed to the View menu :-(

Is there a way to start a "normal" editor on the current file with a
key-binding or menu?
