Reminds me of that guy I met on my interrail tour in 1991 (the first big
travel to "the West"). He was English (or maybe even American, I wasn't
aware of such subtle differences at that point of time).

After learning that I am German he told me that he liked to read ...
urm... "Gueethee" (pronounced [gi:øi:] (?)) very much. Most famous German
writer you know. _I_ certainly did not know him. I still wonder what
impression of my education he got. Luckily enough he was not able to
mis-pronounce "Schiller" beyond recognition, too ;-}
