Hi,

this doesn't seem to be listed in the bugs list, so can someone please
try to reproduce this behaviour:

As soon as I add an appendix to a koma-script book or ams-book, any
chapter or section numbering is becoming a trailing dot like

  1. One
  1.1. One one

This is in the TOC and the actual appearance of the chapter/section, but
not in the headline nor in the LyX window (just in dvi/ps/pdf output).

This seems to be a LyX bug, because the wrong dots sometimes remain
after removing the appendix.

To reproduce:
-------------

1. Open a new LyX document, choose document layout "book (koma-script)"
2. Choose "chapter" and write anything as chapter name
3. Write something else, make it a "chapter" as well and choose this as
   the beginning of the appendix
4. Look at the dvi of this: no trailing dots so far!
5. Change anything (like adding a character of the first chapter's
name), look at the dvi again: here they are!
6. Remove the "begin appendix" mark, look at the dvi: those dots remain.

It looks like LyX does switch something for the appendix (to produce a
"A. Appendixname" and forgets to put the switch back for ordinary
chapters.

Any suggestions to get this fixed?

Thanks alot, Philipp.
