Is /usr/X11R6/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf ? Do you need to run ldconfig ? How does ldconfig -p look ? What does ldd report about your lyx executable ? I hope that's a helpful starting place - good luck! My pointers might need to be changed according to which Unix or Linux you run. -- Mark
