I am using Debian unstable, and since I updated my system today for
the first time in the last two weeks, most of the LyX math symbols have stopped appearing in the qt front-end.
I *do* have latex-ttf-fonts installed, and they are visible
from "xset q" (hence visible for Xfree86) and from "fc-list" (which means, I suppose, that the "fc-cache -fv" has worked correctly).
In the math panel, the arrow, relation, etc. symbols only appear
when you detach the particular set of symbols. Then they appear
in the detached window. In the math panel itself, no buttons containing
arrow or relation or whatever symbols are drawn. (Except, interestingly, for the "operands".)
Any ideas? (xforms front-end works ok, but is ugly once you got
used to anti-aliased fonts; putting useXft=false
in the [General] section of ~/.qt/qtrc also works around the problem, but is about as ugly as the xforms front-end ;-) )
Best regards, Stefaan.
