Lyx for Win32, troubleshooting

Hi,

I have just installed Lyx for Win32 proposed by Ruurd Reitsma and there are some 
things I do not understand:
1-I put the english dictionary as prescribed in (lyx/lib/aspell and lyx/share/aspell) 
but I cannot perform spellchcking.
2-I do not understand how I should include the 3 fixes files which are available on the 
website (extra_win32_files.tar.bz2

, lyx_win32.diff <http://www.home.zonnet.nl/rareitsma/lyx/lyx_win32.diff> and quick_fix.diff

3-How can I test that Imagemagick actually works (remember I am using Lyx for Windows)
4-Import of Latex files fails
5-I cannot see included pictures in my lyx window (probably linked to question 3)
