There is yet another approach i discovered during the
weekend; skencil (sketch.sf.net) is a vector drawing
manipulation program that can load an EPS, it has a
Latex plugin for inserting latex commands, and export
it again as a .PS still in vector format. In the
plugin documentation it says you should export the
stuff as .epstex and insert it in the .tex document
with \input{} commands (which would mean No Preview
from Lyx), however i exported is as plain postscript
(ps), and it look marvelous both in lyx and in pdf
document
