This looks slightly different from what I have. It should look

"agums" "aguplus" "article (AGU++) manuscript" "false"

(but of course with "true" instead of "false" :-)

Therefore, could I see your agums.layout file (that's where this info
is lifted from on reconfigure)? Mine looks like this:
