Hi, I have a LaTeX class that formats fiction that I want to use with LyX, how do I go about doing that?

You need to create a LyX layout file of the same name, and park it in either the layouts folder under the main LyX installation tree or the "local" layouts folder under your document directory. See section 5.2 of the Customization help file (part of the LyX installation) for some clues. The easiest way to do this is usually to locate a similar LaTeX class that LyX recognizes, copy its layout file (and rename the copy to match your fiction class), then edit it to make whatever changes are needed.

After you've created your new layout file, run Edit -> Reconfigure in LyX and make sure the new class is recognized.
