Thank you, Georg - vielen Dank, this afternoon I've done a SuSE online-update (resulting in a new kernel and new XFreeLibs), with no change in both the mem-leak and the compile-error. Next I will update the gcc-3.3.1, as the wiki-FAQ suggests. My long years experience with a new (SuSE) distribution is, that I need about 3 weeks (new kernel, new XFree, new KDE, new ..., debugging the help-function, ...), until the system is running in a way, I need/like it. So in the moment, I want to write my paper ;-) But next spring will come and with it (maybe) a new distri ...
