True enough, Helge, but MikTeX (Windows) and teTeX 3 (*nix) both provide support for spaces in filenames. LyX's LaTeX output would have to change to enable this support, but it is possible. As for the rest, it's just an illustration that most/all of the coding is done by people using Linux as their development platform. Spaces in paths just don't come up that often, so bugs slip through. -- Angus
