Thanks for the answers. I guess I accidentially posted to both lists. I'll answer only here where I think it belongs. I had seen the discussion on the list about this bug. However, if I don't remember wrong their problem was that the ^ (or similar characters) doesn't show up at all, by my does/did. So I did not understand it was the same bug. I updated my qt into qt-3.3.4-0.fc3.0 (using yum install) but after that I could not write hats at all, just like I remembered from the maillists. Right now I am compiling the latest version from trolltech hoping that will solve the problem. If that does not work I guess I should go for ftp://apt.kde-redhat.org/apt/kde-redhat/fedora/3/stable/RPMS/qt-3.3.3-16.3.3.kde.i386.rpm like is proposed on lyx bugzilla. /johan -- Johan Ingvast, PhD student http://www.md.kth.se/~ingvast Department of Machine Design, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden http://www.md.kth.se, http://www.md.kth.se/~cas <--- Walking robot proj tel +46 (0)8 790 95 36 mob. +46 (0)70 34 34 498
