I am using LyX 1.3.5 on a Mac with OS 10.3.9

I was wondering if there is a way to do line wrap in the LyX code format. I am writing a manual that uses the R language, and I have a lot of lines in the code that I would like to wrap, rather than add a hard return and begin a new line. I checked the User Guide and Extended features, but found nothing.

Yes, lyx-code does not wrap. But you can use a "quote" paragraph type instead, and manually set the font to "typewriter" in there. The reason for "quote" over "standard"
is that "quote" is indented the same way as "lyx-code" is. Your text with
typewriter font will then wrap. Note that you'll get a ragged right margin this
way, but at least you get line wrapping instead of over-long lines.
