Roger: I don't call dvipost in my preamble, I set in my converters.
Go to the menu bar and choose Edit > Preferences > Converters > DVI -> Postscript and set the converter to /usr/bin/dvipspost $$i $$o See if that does the trick for you. There are more details on setting this all up on the Wiki page - http://wiki.lyx.org/Tips/ChangeTrackingLyx1-3-2 .
