I've included two lyx files. One is from the wiki at http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/Tables called table-,ultirow-lyx and it demonstrates multirow support. That filel comes out as expected in the DVI. The other one is my own lyx table - and it doesnt work as expected, but I cant quite see why not ...
