Unfortunately, that's not all. This technique will not work in LyX in a situation where, for example, you have a paragraph going after an enumerated/bulleted list. This paragraph will not be indented, though it should. It will be indented in pure LaTeX+some editor situation, because you'll have a line break after a list (and so INDENTFIRST will notice that and work as expected ), but in LyX there's either no line break after list or some other problem, and this won't work. I'd say it's a bug, but maybe some LyX devs would come up with more input on that.
