Install MacDVI :), reconfigure LyX, change the viewer (File Format DVI) in LyX to "open". If you prefer PostScript (PS) output with the X11 apllication "gv", this works (around) for me: \viewer "ps" "open -a X11 ; sleep 5 ; ps aux|grep gv|grep -v grep || gv" -Andre
