i only have the de_DE-only.rws in C:\Aspell\lib\aspell-0.60 (i don't have the de-only.rws) now it started working. but sometimes it just stops and the alert pops up. if i try again it works again. that's ok for me, since i am running a little short in time regarding the print date of my master's thesis :-) thanks for your help. theo
