Ok thanks,

It always feels good to know a probleme doesn't only happen on your machine (-:

Juergen Spitzmueller sent a patch to fix this issue but how do I apply it? I cannot wait for 1.4.2 as I have a report to hand in and it would feel really more comfortable writing with the fix.

Thanks,

Jé

Hello everyone,

I've been enjoying the use of LyX 1.3.8 during the last few weeks:
simple and plain editor that perfectly suits my needs.

However, I had to switch to 1.4.1 because someone modified one of my
files with it and 1.3.8 wouldn't open it anymore. I found links to
Debian packages on the LyX wiki
(http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXOnDebian#toc2) but although the new version
looks nice and seems to have cool new features it has kind of a weird
behavior on my machine, examples follow:

- When clicking on a float-fig (to expand or shrink it for instance) the
cursor/window is brought to another place in the file which is very
annoying, even more in the case of long files... But what's more
frightening is that it sometimes does it, sometimes not.

- Same when clicking on ert inserts, links or even cross references
sometimes.

I even experienced a few crashes when doing it.

Has someone experienced the same so far? Is it a well known bug?

I guess you have hit :
http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2526

It will be fixed in 1.4.2 which I believe will come out in a matter of
weeks.

Cheers,
Charles
