Thank you all, with your help I have finally tamed the beast. (one of the problems was, that the path to the qt-directory was not correct... for all future readers: (K)ubuntus qt-path is: /usr/share/qt, not /usr/lib nor /usr/lib/qt neither whatsoever ...)
