Thank you for your help.
I created the ~/Library/texmf/bibtex/bst folder ran texhash and
reconfigured LyX with no success. Until .... a Tools > TeX
information rescan and now it is recognized. Yea!
I didn't even know that the Tools>TeX information was there.
