The two minipages way worked with a little tweak of the table (had to
add some vertical and horizontal space at the beginning of the table
to put in place), but the ColumnsTopAligned didn't. For the two
minipages, you have to set the table minipage aligment settings to
TOP;TOP, while for the graph minipage you have to set them to
CENTER;TOP.

With beamer, you have control on the columns alignment, AFAIR
(there is a ColumnsTopAligned style).

Did you try it ?
