There's a problem using this with the koma-script classes: They redefine the sectioning commands in such a way that [EMAIL PROTECTED] fails to work. At least, I seem to remember that this is the problem. The issue came up on the list a while back, so try searching the archives. Maybe we found a solution. But you could try something like: \addtokomafont{chapter}{\setcounter....} Maybe that'd work. But it's a dirty hack indeed!
