Ok, i tried exporting a larger file to pdflatex. It will create a png file for each .pdf file i try to include. When i delete them and run pdflatex manually, everything works just as it should.

That's not right, is it? There aren't any converters from pdf to png present in the preferences window. Any idea on how to stop Lyx from doing this?

?!?

The placed .pdf files should be wholly enclosed in the pdflatex
generated .pdf at their original quality and w/ no changes ---
what .pdf viewing program are you using?

Anyone else with a solution?

That is the solution, and one which I've used often and w/ good results.
