changing the size of a whole table

Hello,
I am trying to change the text size for a whole table.
The solution outlined at the following post

Doesn't change anything in my PS output.

What do I have to select before changing the font size?
The whole float with the table or just the table?

May someone please indicate me how I efficiently change that font size 
for a while table?
