Thanks John, I wasn't aware of that!For the archive: pyPDF is a nice and quite easy to use Python library to merge pages from different input PDF files into an output PDF file.
Unfortunately it does not solve my problem. The results are similar to using pdftk: The hyperlinks of the stamp get lost :-(
