So please consider reporting documentation issues to bugzilla.
Let me suggest something even better: If a user finds a problem with the documentation, the user might consider writing an improved version of said documentation. This is easy to do, since the documentation is just a bunch of LyX files. Of course, on some platforms, anyway, if you open the docs from the Help menu, then they are read-only, but they can be saved (File>Save As...) to a local file and then edited as one pleases. And once you've made the changes to the docs, you can simply post the new file to the lyx-devel list (or post a patch, if you know how to do that), together with some explanation of what has been changed.

This is a great way for users to get involved! And remember: Except for Lars (the creator of LyX) and maybe other real old-schoolers (JMarc?), we were all users first.
