Please,

Has a LyX layout file anything to do with the final of the compiled 
document (PDF, DVI or PS?

I am facing some weird results while importing a TeX file. It seems to 
work fine, but there is a block that is misinterpreted by the process. 
As far as this doesn't happen when compiling the document with any other 
TeX front-end, I am guessing I am doing something wrong with LyX.
