A very, very annoying bug- on my Leopard system with version 1.5.3, if
you select the menu item "Change Control" (from "Document"), LyX
immediately crashes, and corrupts its preference file so badly it
won't re-launch. It's 100% reproducible.
The only way to get Lyx to stop crashing on launch is to remove its
plist preference file (also completely reproducible.)
Also, there used to be a way to select a character from a floating
window. I looked under "Insert->Special Character" and could not find
it, which is where I thought it used to be. I looked through other
menus and didn't see it- where did this go hiding?
