By default, nomencl does not insert anything to the TOC, unless you have
entered the option intoc (in Document->Settings->Class->Options). Remove
that
and it will work (if not, post an example file, please).

Thanks very much. Removing "intoc" resolves the problem. I did not know
about that option before.
