I understand you related to Windows - Linux. But now I have to solve it on Windows.
I used the own uninstall process of LyX. and I checked that all LyX related folders disappeared from C:\Program Files and C:\Documents and Settings\salat\Application Data. Can I make it more effective? Thanks your help. At the latest my next windows reinstall should fix the problem. But I hope it sooner. But you should probably make sure that everything is being removed. I'm guessing that some stuff isn't being removed, and so you're not really getting a full reinstall. Richard
