Hello LyX testers,
I uploaded an installer for the third release candidate of the upcoming LyX
version 1.6.0 for Windows.
NOTE: LyX 1.6rc3 is not a stable release! That means it is stable enough for
testing, but expect
inconsistencies and regressions. This preview release is build for interested
LyX users who want
to check out the new features of LyX.

The installer for this version can be downloaded from:

This LyX version can be installed side by side to an existing LyX 1.5
installation when you uncheck
the installer option update the ".lyx" file extension settings. It will be installed
as "LyX
1.6.0rc3".

The updated versions of Python and Ghostscript changed their internal file structure. So it might be
possible that you get problems. If so, please report them to me directly.
!Important note!: Due to a bug in LyX you are first be able to export documents
to e.g. PDF after
opening the preferences dialog and clicking there on the save button.

you have not yet translated something for LyX but will help us, please reply to the lyx-docs mailing
list for further information.
