To print in offset, my B&W photos need to be in halftones, if I am to output it properly on a Lyx file, made into PDF. Please could you tell me how to convert my images into halftones? What is the best format for photos to be used in Lyx (EPS, JPG, TIFF)? What should be the resolution for B&W printing? Is there any primer on how to prepare a Lyx file for offset B&W printing?
